To mark the launch of CLIS, we are making an appeal on behalf of the Chaima Christian Institute in Maridi, South Sudan which is looking to develop its library.

Currently the small library collection of this tertiary college is housed in a classroom.

The Institute has a vision for building a larger purpose-built library which will cost £30,000.

The initial goals are to:

• purchase resources which will effectively support the taught curricula, particularly in theology, business administration & development
• purchase a computer for the Librarian
• train two librarians
• catalogue the library collection.

The Principal of Chaima Christian Institute Maridi, Rev. Canon Patricia Wick, asks:
